Let the archiving begin

This is a very special photograph to me (and all of my relatives). I took this photo a long time ago in Calgary. My sister Carolyn, my father Ted (Sr.) and I went to the airport to pick up my mother Margaret (Moppy). Moppy had just seen Poppy’s “fake hair” for the first time as she entered the Arrivals area.
I have mentioned before that I want to start making an Archives section for the website(s): digitizing many of my favourite images from the (mostly black and white) film days. I have Tri-X b&w negatives and some colour slide images from 1973 to the digital days of the early 2000s. This particular file is scanned from a black and white contact sheet (actual film size!). I do have the original negative to make a better copy but the contact sheet was more readily available today. I wanted to publish this image today in honour of an anniversary.
This posting marks the start of the archiving of my older images for web publishing. The gallery will be added soon (and grow as images are added).
